Description: This course focuses on the behavioral aspect of trauma and the function behaviors serve as either protective mechanisms or ways children get their needs met. Participants learn a three-sequence model for understanding behavior that includes the child’s perceptual lens, the need being met, and the ability to recover. Trauma triggers are also defined and discussed as an important piece of understanding what underlies a child’s behavior.
**This qualifies for Group Credit through HHS.
***Note: You need to register each participant and they each need their own email. If you are registering two people, you need two different email addresses. Children are not allowed at this training so please make other arrangements for them.
