This workshop introduces parents to the needs of textured hair and the cultural connection black children have with hair and hair care. Parents will gain an understanding of the importance of proper hair care and how hair care relates to the self-esteem of a child experiencing grief and loss. Parents will be taught the steps to follow and products to use during the shampoo/condition/style process. Parents will practice a new styling technique learned in the workshop and receive a sample product from The Joy of Curls product line if in person. This workshop is beneficial for parents with textured hair children of all ages.
