Description: This course is designed to equip foster parents with the knowledge and tools to identify and interrupt criminal grooming behaviors that put children at risk. Grooming is a calculated process used by criminals hoping to manipulate and exploit vulnerable youth and often occurs in plain sight of the victim, victim’s family, and public. Through a trauma-informed lens, participants will learn how grooming unfolds, how to spot early warning signs, and how to respond in ways that protect children and preserve trust. This class empowers foster parents to become vigilant protectors and compassionate advocates, ensuring every child in their care is safe, supported, and heard.
**This qualifies for Group Credit through HHS.
***Note: You need to register each participant and they each need their own email. If you are registering two people, you need two different email addresses. Children are not allowed at this training so please make other arrangements for them.
