Description: All children who have experienced foster care or adoption have, by definition, encountered disruptions in attachment. Even in cases where a child is removed from their biological parent at birth, the loss of that initial attachment can have lasting developmental and emotional impacts. This training is designed to help parents understand the effects of disrupted attachment on their children and, perhaps more importantly, to provide practical strategies for fostering secure and healthy attachments. While the course is open to foster families seeking training credit, its primary focus is on supporting adoptive families and promoting long-term permanency and stability in the home.

**This qualifies for Group Credit through HHS (like in-person classes)
