Trainer: John Upshaw
Date: 4/8/2022 Time:11:15-1:15p

Children that are in foster care and/or adoptive homes are at higher risk of developing issues stemming from abandonment. Many of these children have had numerous adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) that contribute to and exacerbate abandonment related issues.

Workshop participants will gain the following course objectives:
1. A clear definition of abandonment.
2. How it impacts intrapsychic and interpersonal boundaries.
3. How it impacts children’s pattern of interactions with self and others.
4. What caregivers can do to assist children in regulating these strong emotions that are linked to abandonment issues.

**You will get an email the morning of the training with your link to the training.

**this qualifies for Group Credit through DHS (like in person classes)
***Note: If you are registering two people, you will need to register each person individually with separate emails. You need to be interactive in this virtual training like you would an in person training. If your children need supervision we suggest having other supervision for children so you can actively participate in this training as you would an in person training. Any questions please send to gototraining@fouroaks.org.
