This training will make the case for sibling connections, review statistics and legislation, provide an overview of the Children’s Bureau Bulletin on siblings, discuss the impact on sibling separation, and problem solve barriers and misperceptions to placing siblings together. This training will aid in supporting foster parents in overcoming the challenges sibling placements present and cover the impact of sibling placements on foster families own children. This training is approved for 2 hours of foster parent group training.
