Description:
Parenting in the best circumstances may be challenging, and parenting children and teens in the child welfare system may include many additional challenges. To be effective caregivers, foster/resource/kin caregivers need to tune in to their own experience and needs. In this session, participants learn to understand their own responses to stress and trauma, identify their strengths and vulnerabilities and identify self-care resources. This training is approved for 2 hours of foster parent training credit.
