Description:
This course is an overview and discussion-based training on shared parenting and alliance building in foster care and adoption. Families will review shared parenting as a practice in foster care and the purpose of the Alliance Model of Child Welfare Practice in which birth families, resource families, and professionals are all aligned around the child’s wellbeing. The group will discuss their own experiences and review the expectations around shared parenting, as well as create an action plan for self-care when challenges arise.
This training is approved for 2 hours of foster parent training credit.
