Description: Description: Sleep is critical to optimal function as it is crucial to management of being awake and alert and provides food for the brain. 69% of American infants, children, and teens are sleep deprived, leading to emotional and physical issues. Sleep deprivation can occur when it’s difficult to fall asleep or when wakefulness occurs during the night. There are many myths about what can improve sleep. This class exposes the true culprits of sleep deprivation including time/routine, tension/stress, and temperament or sensory preferences. After correctly determining the culprit of the sleep issue, participants will learn strategies to improve falling asleep and staying asleep.

**This qualifies for Group Credit through HHS.
